Our motivation is found in the words that God gave to the prophet Isaiah concerning the situation of his people in Isaiah 40:1-2:
Comfort, comfort my people,
says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem.
And proclaim to her
that her hard service has been completed,
That her sin has been paid for,
that she has received from the Lords hand
double for all her sins.
If there were any people that had ever had need of those same words that God spoke to His prophet, Isaiah, they are the people of Rwanda.
It is in this regard that Comfort My People draws its inspiration and initiation to bring the message and action of hope to the African people – in Rwanda.
